My name is Andre Blackman and I’m pretty excited about how technology and new ways of thinking can impact the field of public health. I like to help individuals, organizations and projects come up with great ideas on empowering communities to lead better, healthier lives. Tools such as social media, mobile technologies and integrated offline engagement are becoming very necessary to create the effective dialogues needed for lasting impact. For the past seven or so years, I’ve been involved in health communications with a mixture of nonprofit and public relations work connecting with entities such as the CDC, NIH and other government/private health organizations.
