Hey Andre - so happy to see this post on the importance of public health and emphasizing Public Health Week. One thing stands out as particularly important. You said, "Things are spiraling out of control, folks - and quickly. It’s no longer good enough to sit back and hope that the government will create some sort of magic solution for us not to be suffering from diabetes, heart disease and the myriad complications associated with unhealthy eating and living."

All in all, technology won't save us from poor health habits. Better health care won't save us from our own poor eating and lousy exercise habits. But we can help ourselves. We can choose healthier organic foods, take omega-3 everyday, drink more water, less sodas and energy drinks, and eat more fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains. I suppose the bottom line is we can all do something to be healthier. I'm sure trying by adopting a mostly vegetarian lifestyle and with Spring here -- back to walking a couple of miles everyday. :o)
