By now I’m sure many of  you are aware of the micro-blogging sensation known as Twitter – as a matter of fact, recently Good Morning America did a piece on it, so you know that it won’t be long before it becomes even more mainstream. One of the great things about Twitter is it’s ability to bring people together through bite-sized status updates. Once Twitter began helping people congregate around specific ideas and activities, it signaled the beginning of being a tool that could be shaped into countless uses – limited only by the users.

Twitter has also become a tool used in the personal health world. Several months ago a community of Twitter users that were coming together to support each other for fitness goals came across my desk. Of course this piqued my interest – so after a little digging I was able to find out who started it and why it’s become so popular. Allow me to introduce the awesome Jason Falls, mastermind behind the Twit2Fit Movement. In this video, Jason gives Pulse + Signal a behind-the-scenes look at how the project came about and how it’s impacting lives.

This video was taken a few months back and I’m really happy I’m able to bring it to life now (was having glitches with the blog format before):

Thanks again Jason for taking the time out of your busy schedule to share with us more about Twit2fit. I think it’s a fantastic idea and gives fuel to the power of community in the health world.

Here’s some more coverage of Twit2Fit and how it’s helping to change lives:
